SSC CGL 5 August, 2017 Shift 1 Question 6(Reasoning) with Solution.

In the following question, select the odd word from given alternatives.
Options:
A. 69
B. 59
C. 61
D. 53
Answer: A (69)

59, 61, 53 are prime numbers where as 69 is composite(divisible by 3 and 23).

Prime numbers are the positive natural numbers greater than 1 which are divisible by 1 and itself i.e. has two factors (divisors).
e.g. 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, 31, 37, 41 etc.

2 is the only prime number which is even also.

Composite Numbers have more than 2 factors e.g. 4, 6, 8, 10, 9 etc.
